In the world of precision chemistry in steel smelting, the core challenge is how to accurately remove harmful elements from molten steel. Seamless calcium wire, as an efficient metallurgical additive, plays an irreplaceable role in improving the purity of molten steel with its unique "calcium treatment" technology.

Seamless calcium wire is composed of high-purity calcium core wrapped in dense steel skin. This structure ensures that calcium does not undergo pre reaction with air or slag layer during the feeding process into the deep part of the ladle, achieving efficient utilization of calcium element.

Its core function lies in the intense "battle" between calcium and the two harmful elements in molten steel - oxygen and sulfur.

Deoxygenation attack: Calcium is an extremely strong deoxidizer. It can quickly combine with oxygen dissolved in molten steel to generate solid calcium oxide (CaO). These tiny oxide particles quickly float up due to their lower density than the steel and merge into the top slag layer, which is completely removed, significantly reducing the oxygen content and oxide inclusions in the steel, greatly improving the purity of the steel.

Desulfurization and purification: Similarly, calcium has a strong affinity with sulfur elements in molten steel, and the two react to form stable calcium sulfide (CaS). Calcium sulfide is also insoluble in molten steel and can quickly separate from the steel and enter the slag, effectively reducing the sulfur content. This process is crucial for eliminating the "hot brittleness" of steel caused by sulfur and improving toughness.

Through this series of precise metallurgical reactions, seamless calcium wire has become a key technical means to achieve deep purification of molten steel.
