Fertility agent is a type of agent that can promote graphitization, reduce the tendency towards white spots, improve the morphology and distribution of graphite, increase the number of eutectic clusters, and refine the matrix structure. It has good effects in a short period of time (about 5-8 minutes) after incubation treatment. Our company produces silicon iron inoculants. There are three types of silicon iron inoculants: 45FeSi, 75FeSi, and 85FeSi. The treatment effect of 45FeSi inoculant is poor, while 85FeSi has a higher cost and 75FeSi is commonly used. Ca and Al in 75FeSi have a significant impact on the fertility effect, with Ca having the greatest effect, exceeding 0 At 5%, there is a strong ability to ink. Generally, the chemical composition range for 75FeSi is as follows: Si: 74% to 78%; Ca:0. 5%~1. 0%; Al: 0. 8%~1. 5%。

(1) Silicon barium inoculant. Silicon barium inoculant is mainly used in the production of gray cast iron and ductile iron. Used for ductile iron can significantly increase the number of graphite balls, and used for gray cast iron can reduce the tendency towards white casting. Refine grain size and improve graphite morphology. This type of inoculant not only achieves high mechanical properties, but also has strong resistance to decay. Generally, the inoculant contains Ba between 2% and 3%.

(2) Si-C inoculant. This type of inoculant is mainly ink based inoculant, which has the main advantages of low dosage and strong ink forming ability, but is difficult to dissolve. For example, Si-C-Ca-Al has a good effect on preventing white casting in thin-walled castings and is suitable for use in blast furnace molten iron. Si-C-Al has a good softening effect and is used to improve cutting performance.

(3) Rare earth breeding agent. Rare earth elements are important components of high-efficiency and long-lasting inoculants for cast iron. China has extremely abundant rare earth resources, and researching and applying such inoculants is of practical significance. Generally speaking, this type of inoculant has duality, and there is a certain range of rare earth residue in the inoculant cast iron (RE is 0.3% to 0 06%). When the carbon equivalent is low, the amount of rare earth added is small, and when the carbon equivalent is high, the amount of rare earth added is slightly larger. In addition, rare earth elements are also combined with alloy elements such as Mn and Cu to improve the structure of cast iron and enhance its mechanical strength.

(4) Silicon calcium inoculant. Silicon calcium inoculant is an early used ink inoculant, and now low calcium inoculants are commonly used. It is more suitable for the production of low-carbon equivalent cast iron, which can eliminate white casting and improve strength.
